He revealed that he was aware of the current fan battles between his and Rema’s fans, saying that he enjoys it as a sort of entertainment.
“Me I have thick skin o, like (Laughs) well I didn’t always have thick skin at the beginning, now I am just… All these conversations happen on Twitter, Fanboys you know, the Rema fans, the fireboy fans going at it. It’s always fun, I am just sitting back to relax and sometimes I just go on Twitter and am I like ‘What are they even fighting about today?’ and then you see stuff like that. “
According to him, the song “Peru” was already a big smash before he collaborated with Ed Sheeran.
“Oh thanks to Ed, blah blah, I know that Peru was already a hit song, It was already on its way even before the Ed feature. And yes there is no shame in saying that the Ed feature blew it like over the top and that’s what collaboration are for. It was a successful collaboration nd if it wasn’t I will feel bad myself. You know, its was a successful collaboration, that’s what happens when two genuine artists come together who care about the song and just make a song.”
When asked if his father was proud of him, Fireboy said that his family was always aware of the latest developments in his professional life and followed them closely.
